ECOSOC is the technical branch of GUCMUN responsible for implementing and representing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and this is done in the form of performing sessions, facilitated by ‘Advocates’ attended by ‘Commissioners’. The sessions encompass academic, technical and organizational knowledge all relating to the predetermined academic and technical themes of the year. The year includes other events such as the convention, which is a simulation to the real-life conferences of ECOSOC in the UN, where a case is discussed and concluded by constructing a resolution that includes solutions to the discussed problem, but it doesn't end here. The resulting resolution acts as a blueprint for the year-end project, planned and executed by the Commissioners with help from the Advocates. Additional events include the Development Cooperation Forum (DCF) and on-campus awareness booths.
